Terms & Conditions

1. Bookshops must apply for an account with Sarane.
2. All books must be ordered directly from Sarane.
3. Bookshops receive normal discounts that apply in the market.

Pay-as-you-sell

1. 50% of the order must be paid within 30 days after receiving books and invoice.
2. The remainder of the account must be settled as soon as more than 50% of your order has been sold and as books are sold and within 30 days after the end of the month in which it was sold.
3. The pay-as-you-sell and the book buy-back guarantee must both be entered into and accepted by the buyer/bookshop and cannot be entered into separately.

Book buy-back guarantee

1. A minimum order is required with certain books, for example Verstaan God/Understand God, a bookshop per shop must take a minimum of 20-80 (depending on the size of the bookshop) to qualify.
2. A maximum order is relevant for other books, for example the books that are part of “The Art therapy-series” and the books that are part of “The life skills for children-series”, no more than 5-20 books per bookshop will be guaranteed.
3. 50% of the order must be paid within 30 days after receiving books and invoice.
4. Books must be exhibited prominently in the bookshop for at least 3 months after receiving the books.
5. Posters or other marketing material –as and if provided by the publisher- must be used for at least 3 months after receiving the books.
6. The book buy-back guarantee will become null and void as soon as a second order is placed of the same book/s.
7. With a second order the bookshop can request that the pay-as-you-sell and the book buy-back guarantee will be applicable again.
8. The first order will however have to be paid in full as it will be assumed that all copies has been sold.
9. After one year from the time that the bookshop has received the order, a request for the book buy-back guarantee to come in effect can be given.
10. All remaining copies must be returned to Sarane at the cost of the bookshop.
11. If less than 50% of the original order, the balanced owed by the bookshop, if any, will be calculated and the bookshop will be invoiced.
12. If more than 50% of the copies, the amount owed by Sarane to the bookshop will be calculated and will be paid over within 30 days after the end of the month in which the books were returned.
13. If books are damaged, only 50% of original buying price will be paid back.
14. These Terms & Conditions are without prejudice and Sarane keep the right to make changes to the T&C’s if needed to clarify any clause.
